Installation Instructions

Installing the Unit

The Piian Vaporizer System is to be installed on a flat and level surface in close proximity of the odor source, the units control panel should be easily accessible and a clear path should be left to the unit to allow drums of Piian Odor Neutralizer to be moved under the unit. The unit should be located in a clean dry area and situated such that the control panel is easy to see and use.

The Piian Vaporizer System discharges a vapor of odor neutralizing droplets via a stainless steel tube located on the top of the unit. The unit can be installed to discharge the vapor directly into an odorous environment or room. Alternatively a 3" flexible hose can be attached to the discharge tube to convey the vaporized odor neutralizer directly a pipe system surrounding the odor source. The hose and pipe must be less than the length specified for the system and installed to avoid kinking or sagging. Install the hose/pipe to avoid forming a pee trap / u-bend that will allow liquid to accumulate.

Pipe Installation

Odor Neutralizing Vapor may be blown directly into the odorous environment. Alternatively, vapor may be blown along distribution pipes / conduit and released at the odor source(s). There are two methods used to achieve this:
(1) Multiple Pipe Perforations
(2) Pipe Tees

Piper Perforations

Normally used in exterior environments. Conduit pipe is used to surround or form a barrier along one edge of a sewage sludge tank or open pit etc. 1/8” Diameter holes are bored into the pipe at regular intervals, example 12” apart, 24” apart. The odor neutralizer vapor is blown out through the holes and delivered to the odor source or forms an odor neutralizing barrier.

VaporizerPipePerforationsSM

Consult the following table to determine installation guidelines for multiple pipe perforations:

PipePerforationSchedule

The air flow rate of a 1/8” Diameter hole in 3” – 4” conduit is 0.435 CFM @ 0.5 oz / si.
Pressure in the distribution manifold cannot exceed 0.5 oz / si.

Pipe Tees

Normally used in inside environments where there are specific odor sources. Conduit pipe is brought to each odor source and a “tee” in installed to let odor neutralizing vapor escape.

VaporizerDistributionSM

Consult the following table to determine installation guidelines for Pipe Tees:

DistributionPipeSchedule

The air flow rate of a 1/8” Diameter hole in 3” – 4” conduit is 25 CFM @ 0.5 oz / si.
Pressure in the distribution manifold cannot exceed 0.5 oz / si.

START UP

Position a full container of odor neutralizer into the lower area beneath the Vaporizer cabinet, insert the siphon hose into the pail/drum.

Connect the unit the appropriate AC power source, to start the vaporizer system up, press the
SYSTEM ON / OFF button.

By default, the Piian Vaporizer system will run continously.

The
START TIME and END TIME can be easily adjusted by pressed the INCREASE or DECREASE buttons to the left and right sides of the display.

Set the cycle times according to your odor control situation.

If the
SOLUTION LEVEL LED is Green then the vaporizer system has odor neutralizer solution.

If the
SOLUTION LEVEL LED is Red, then the vaporizer system has run out of odor neutralizer solution.

MAINTENANCE

Odor Neutralizer Refill

When the system has emptied the pail/drum of Piian Odor Neutralizer an intermittent beep alarm will sound. The SOLUTION LEVEL LED will turn from Green to Red. Press the ALARM CLEAR button to silence the alarm.

A siphon hose is located through the hole in top of the pail. Carefully remove the hose from the pail.

Replace the empty pail with a full 5 pail/drum of Piian odor Neutralizer.

Carefully reinsert the siphon hose back into the pail/drum opening.

To restart the Vapozer system, press the
SYSTEM ON / OFF button.

General

Make sure the unit and the control panel stays clean. Keep the control panel cover closed.

SPECIAL NOTE ON ODOR NEUTRALIZER

The Vaporizer unit is designed to pump only Piian Odor Neutralizer. Other odor neutralizers or masking agents contain isopropyl or de-natured alcohols or synthetic fragrances (i.e. benzaldehide) are known to cause detrimental reactions to the common sealing and pumping components found in the Piian Vaporizer. No provision for this type of failure is allowed for in the warranty of this system and the owner/user of this system who dispenses such materials or any other toxic, reactive or corrosive material from the Vaporizer system does so at their own risk.

Operation Instructions

BASIC INFORMATION

This system vaporizes odor neutralizer for control of odors.

Piian Odor neutralizer fluid is drawn out of a pail or drum located below the unit.

The odor neutralizer fluid is vaporized and distributed via a pipe connected to the top of the vaporizer.

The pipe is to be positioned to discharge into the odorous area/environment.

SYSTEM OPERATION

To start the vaporizer system up, press the SYSTEM ON/OFF button.

By default, the vaporizer system will run continuously.

The TIME OFF and TIME ON can be easily adjusted by pressed the INCREASE or DECREASE buttons to the left and right sides of the display.

Set the operating times according to your odor control situation.

The vaporizer system can be operated temporarily by pressing and holding the MANUAL ON button.

If the SOLUTION LEVEL LED is Green then the vaporizer system has odor neutralizer solution.

If the SOLUTION LEVEL LED is Yellow then the vaporizer system is low of neutralizer solution.

If the SOLUTION LEVEL LED is Red, then the vaporizer system has run out of odor neutralizer solution.

REFILLING THE SYSTEM

When the system has emptied the 5 Gallon pail of Odor Neutralizer an intermittent beep alarm will sound. The SOLUTION LEVEL LED will turn from Green to Red. Press the ALARM CLEAR button to silence the alarm.

Open the lower cabinet door & remove the empty pail. A siphon hose is located through the hole in top of the pail. Carefully remove the hose from the pail as you remove the pail from the cabinet.

Place a full pail or drum of Piian Odor Neutralizer HD Concentrate (Part # PNHD0501, PNHD0130 or PNHD155) underneath the cabinet; carefully reinsert the siphon hose back into the pail opening.

To restart the vaporizer system, press the SYSTEM ON / OFF button.
