By pressurizing water to 1000PSI and using highly specialized nozzles, the system forms a super fine “fog” of 10 micron sized droplets that is released and suspended in the air. The fog produced by the system is so fine it completely evaporates in the air without any wetting or dripping. Hot dry air absorbs the fog droplets causing temperature to drop.

The system consists of a “high pressure pump module package” and “atomization nozzles” which are installed into stainless steel tubes to form an “atomization line”. An ordinary water supply feeds into the high pressure pump module where it is pressurized to 1000PSI / 70BAR and pumped into the stainless steel tubes where it is finally released into the air through tiny highly specialized low flow atomization nozzles. The released fluid forms a super fine “fog” of 10 micron sized droplets that is suspended in the air. The fog produced by the system is so fine it completely evaporates in the air without any wetting or dripping. Hot dry air absorbs the fog droplets causing up to a 30°F drop in temperature.
Each system is custom designed for each cooling project to maximize performance. Equipment costs are extremely low compared to refrigeration alternatives. Energy costs are low; a 2 HP system will drive 100 Nozzles. Compared to compressed air atomization system, a Piian Stainless Steel Fog System uses 90% less energy.
Installations are fast and simple with the majority of fabrication completed at our factory, no special installation tools are required, 2 men can install a small system in a day. Unattended operation, the pump module may be controlled by an optional humidistat or thermostat which will maintain an exact amount of moisture in the environment at all times.
